Evidence that alien life exists on Saturn's moon

Researchers at the space agency believe they have discovered vital clues that appeared to indicate that primitive aliens could be living on the moon.

Data from Nasa's Cassini probe has analysed the complex chemistry on the surface of Titan, which experts say is the only moon around the planet to have a dense atmosphere.

They suggest that life forms may have been breathing in the planet’s atmosphere and also feeding on its surface’s fuel.

Pilot Disappearance

The Valentich disappearance describes an event on 21 October 1978 when 20-year-old Frederick Valentich disappeared in unknown circumstances while piloting a Cessna 182L light aircraft over Bass Strait to King Island, Australia.

During a 127 mile training flight, Valentich advised Melbourne air traffic control he "was being buzzed by a UFO with four bright lights" about 1,000 feet (300 m) above him. He made several reports, including that the engine was running roughly, and his last message was "it is not an aircraft."

Searching for Signs of E.T.s on Earth

Professor Paul Davies, a physicist at Arizona University will tell a meeting at the Royal Society that the best way of proving that extra-terrestrial life exists elsewhere in the universe is to use evidence from earth.

The meeting at the Royal Society, which will include representatives from Nasa, the European Space Agency and the UN Office for Outer space Affairs marks the 5th anniversary of the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) programme. Lord Rees, President of the Royal Society will also lead one of the sessions.

Prof Davies said: We need to give up the notion that ET is sending us some sort of customised message and take a new approach."

Seeing the Closest Aliens Will Take Centuries

Although our telescopes will likely become good enough to detect signs of life on exoplanets within the next 100 years, it would probably take many centuries before we could ever get a good look at the aliens.
"Unfortunately, we are perhaps as far away from seeing aliens with our own eyes as Epicurus was from seeing the first other worlds when, 23 centuries ago, he predicted the existence of these planets," said astrobiologist Jean Schneider at the Paris Observatory at Meudon. He and his colleagues discussed the difficulties of studying distant alien life in the journal Astrobiology.

Earth Becoming Invisible to Aliens

Dr Frank Drake said the phasing out of analogue transmissions from television, radio and radar was making our planet electronically invisible from outer space.
While old style signals used to spread out millions of miles into outer space, even reaching some distant stars, digital transmissions are much weaker and therefore are less easy to detect by extra-terrestrial life forms.

Extragalactic radio burst puzzles astronomers

The burst was discovered by David Narkevic, an undergraduate student at West Virginia University in Morgantown, US, while he was searching through archived data taken in 2001 by the Parkes radio dish in Australia. He was looking for periodic signals from pulsars - rotating neutron stars - within our galaxy.

But he came upon a short burst of radio emission that appeared to come from outside the Milky Way. Because electrons in space cause different frequencies of radio waves to arrive at Earth at different times, the researchers used the delay to estimate that the source probably lay about 1.6 billion light years away. "Our first reaction was, what in the world is this?!" says Narkevic's advisor, Duncan Lorimer. "I didn't expect to see anything out there at all."

Whatever happened to...the ex-Marine who saw a UFO?

Terrell Copeland became "Case no. 58105" on The History Channel's new "UFO Hunters" series. There, on national TV, host Bill Birnes declared the Suffolk man to be a "hybrid" - a product of intergalactic breeding who is being prepped for direct contact with his alien relatives.

Don’t talk to aliens, warns Stephen Hawking

He concludes that trying to make contact with alien races is “a little too risky”. He said: “If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.”
